 Godly Communication is a Key to a Successful Marriage! Do You Know God? Have you ever wanted to know another person better, to a point of wanting to complete their sentences when you are talking to them? Married women discuss this topic all the time. They want to establish that type of relationship with their spouses. We should focus on this thought process when it comes to knowing God. Do you know God? To know God is to have a relationship with him by studying his word and spending quality time with him. To have a relationship with God is to study his word. You should set aside daily bible study time. Studying the word of God allows you to get to know him better and it allows you to learn more about yourself. The bible says in 2Tim. 2:15-Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. In studying God’s word, you are able to deal better with the tests and trails of life. When difficult tests and trails arises in your life and you think you will not be able to overcome them, you can commit to memory something in the word that will give you peace to know that God is always present and He is able to handle any situation that you may encounter. Furthermore, in having a relationship with God is spending quality time with him. People interpret spending quality time in many different ways. You can spend quiet time with God by setting aside time daily to reflect on what He has done for you. Another way you can spend time with him is through your conversations with him. To have a conversation with God is to talk to him as if you are talking to someone you love. Talking to God is a good; it allows you to share your most intimate secrets with him. You can be honest and upfront with him. In spending quality time with God, you will begin to get to know yourself better. It is important to establish a relationship with God through studying his word and spending quality time with him. This is an example that you can use to show you how to establish a relationship with your spouse. To know God for yourself is an important factor in getting to know your spouse.
